What have my kids gotten me into now?

I now have a blog and a facebook page thanks to my children and grandchildren. They are doing all of the typing for me because my eyes don't see well enough to use the computer these days. And I don't really know how to use it, so this saves a lot of time. If you read this very often you will probably realize that someone different is writing each time. Don't worry, I don't have multiple personality disorder. You will also catch on that what may seem to be self deprecating humor is really just deprecating. My kids tend to think they are funny, but I approve it all, mostly. I have enjoyed finding out about old friends from my kids and now that I have my own access to everyone, I can have my granddaughter read to me the updates regularly.

My family is doing very well. Janice, my oldest is sick with a terrible case of the shingles. We are all praying that she will recover soon. Her oldest son David will soon have a son and that will be my second great grandchild. Laurie and her husband and one of her two daughters now live in bakersfield and it is great to have them around after such a long time apart. Jay's oldest daughter also has a baby boy. Kim just recently graduated from college and loves her new career working with troubled youth. Tami is the only one living out of town. She lives in Utah and we see her a couple time a year. Jennifer is also about to graduate from college and begin a new career. I have sixteen grandchildren and soon two great grandchildren.

I plan to use this blog also to help with my business. Selling things has become more of a hobby for me than a business and it is has become a large part of my social life. Many people know me just because of the sales and even those who know me from other things, often come to me when they need more products. I don't really do parties much anymore. I usually like to pack things into easily priced bundles and sell them from my yard or garage (we call it "Cash and Carry"). I also will often take boxes of my inventory out to bizarres, fundraisers, the other sales around town. This saturday (april 18th) for example I will be at Montgomery World (used to be Montgomery Wards) from 8am to 4pm. We hang around and sell some products and just have fun with it. I usually have several of these kind of sales a month and from now on I will post it on here and on my facebook when they come around. If you are around and stop by it will be great to see you. And if you want to buy something that is even better. Many of you may know that I have accumulated quite a large inventory of products over the years as I have been focused on selling competively. Now, I am much more relaxed as Henry and I are essentially retired. But we still have a lot of items to sell off and we do it at our own comfortable pace.
